About Enshu Yamanaka Sake Brewery

The Yokosuka area was ruled by the Nishio family, a family of the Tokugawa family. Enshu Yamanaka Sake Brewery stands on the old road where the atmosphere of the castle town of the Yokosuka domain remains. Yokosuka had the best quality water for sake brewing, and there were many sake breweries. The building is from the 7th year of Ansei, and retains the pillars and beams from the late Edo period. A wooden storehouse with a three-story workshop. You won't find a wooden storehouse with such high ceilings anywhere else.
