History

1818-1830
(Bunsei era) Omi merchant Yamanaka Masakichi begins sake brewing business at present Fujinomiya
After that, Shizoku (Takasago, Tamasekai, Matsugata, Tagoura) was established around Fuji.
In 1929 (Showa 4), Yamanaka Masayoshi's second son, Hyune, was split up and established Yamanaka Sake Brewery Company in Yokosuka, where the brewery is currently located.
In 1986 (Showa 61), the second generation Yamanaka Takashi begins brewing "Aoi Tenka"
In 1986, he won the Gold Award at the National Aoi Tenka National Review
